Online safety
We are aware of fraudulent websites and social media accounts which offer free or heavily discounted samples of Cadbury chocolate or lollies or hampers. These imitation accounts attempt to trick or scam consumers into providing their contact details and/ or to sign up to a mailing list. Some people also receive emails asking them to click on links through to similar offers. These promotions are almost never honoured and are taken as consent to send you unsolicited SPAM, or worse.
We advise consumers to be aware when engaging with promotions of this nature from unknown sources and always check the URL that don’t have an official blue tick verification badge. We are working hard to address this issue. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us report fraudulent websites and promotions. If you come across a scam or a suspicious promotion, please reach out to report them to us, here or free call 1800 033 275 (AUS) or 0800 444 045 (NZ).

We do not sell direct to the public. Our products are widely available for purchase at supermarkets, convenience stores and petrol stations. You can often find them on sale at these locations.
Unfortunately, we do not accept international product orders. While many Cadbury products enjoyed around the world are not currently available in Australia or New Zealand, we are always looking to expand our product range. Consumer preferences vary greatly across regions, and we carefully consider what products will resonate with our consumers. If research indicates a strong demand for a particular product, we will explore bringing it to our shelves.
We seek to make a positive contribution to the communities in which we operate. Our approach is to actively seek causes and partnerships to support, so unfortunately, we don’t consider unsolicited applications in line with a focused approach to help us make a bigger impact on our local communities. Our national partnerships actively support women in sport, grassroots sports participation and food-rescue organisations.
We are always on the lookout for innovative product ideas! Our Research and Development team, working closely with Marketing, continually explore new product concepts and conduct thorough market research to ensure any new product has broad appeal. This research is essential in guiding our decisions about which products to introduce. For these reasons, we are not able to use any ideas from members of the public.
You can find our halal certified product list here.
While we don't produce a gluten-free product list, we encourage you to check the ingredient list and allergen information on our product packaging to ensure it meets your dietary needs.
If our products contain cereals containing gluten, the word ‘gluten’ (as well as the name of the gluten cereal) will be declared in the allergen ‘Contains’ statement on the pack. The name of the gluten cereal will also be listed in the ingredients. Gluten-containing cereals include wheat, rye, barley, oats and spelt. If cereals containing gluten may be present due to cross-contact, then the word ‘gluten’ will be declared in the ‘May Contain’ statement on the pack. Where wheat is a cross-contact, it will be listed in the ‘May Contain’ statement.
Please note that your best source for ingredient information is always the product packaging label because recipes are subject to change.
If there are peanuts or tree nuts in any of our products, then this will be declared in the ingredient list and declared in the allergen ‘Contains’ statement on the pack.
Where we make a variety of products on the one production line, and where there is a possibility that there could be cross-over contact with allergens such as peanuts or tree nuts these will be declared in the ‘May Contain’ statement on the pack.
Due to our vast range of products, it is not possible for us to provide a detailed list regarding suitability for specific dietary requirements. We advise you to check the product packaging ingredient list and allergen information to make sure it meets your dietary needs.
Please note that your best source for ingredient information is always the product packaging label because recipes are subject to change.
We appreciate your interest in seeing how our products are made, but due to strict health and safety requirements, we no longer offer tours of our manufacturing facilities. Stay tuned for the launch of Cadbury World in Hobart, Tasmania.
Absolutely. Cadbury Dairy Milk milk chocolate made in Australia contains both cocoa butter and cocoa mass and has 27% cocoa solids. You'll find our ingredients clearly listed on the pack.
It meets all Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) requirements and the legal definition of chocolate.
We source over 110 million litres of fresh milk from Tasmanian dairy farmers every year, use locally grown sugar and we’re proud to use quality Australian ingredients wherever possible to give our chocolate that smooth and creamy taste Australians know and love.
We haven't removed cocoa solids or swapped them for flavouring or lab-grown technology. Real chocolate. Made right here in Australia for over 100 years.
Our Cadbury Dairy Milk milk chocolate recipe in Australia does not contain vegetable oils. We use cocoa butter as the foundation of our chocolate, this is the natural fat from the cocoa bean.
We do use a small amount of RSPO segregated palm oil in some of our flavoured centres and inclusions.
You might have seen claims online that mix up different products, markets and recipes. Recipes can vary by country, but Australian-made Cadbury Dairy Milk milk chocolate uses cocoa butter as its foundational source and not palm oil or vegetable oil.
No. Cadbury Dairy Milk milk chocolate in Australia continues to be made with the same core ingredients: cocoa butter, cocoa mass, milk and sugar. Our block recipe contains 27% cocoa solids, as it has for years. You can find this information on the back of the pack.
We’re always innovating to bring new and exciting products to our consumers, and we improve flavours and textures based on what our consumers tell us from time to time, but this is about making our chocolate even better, not cutting corners or costs. What happens in other markets by other makers doesn't change what goes into your block here in Australia.
No. Lab-grown cocoa is not used or even approved for use in Australia by FSANZ.
At Cadbury, through Mondelez International, we're focused on supporting real cocoa farmers - investing in climate-smart farming practices and improving farmer livelihoods.
Our cocoa comes from real farms, grown by real people. While we keep an eye on emerging food technologies, our commitment is to real cocoa from real farmers for that real Cadbury quality and taste, Australians know and love.
We know ingredient lists can look a bit technical, but every single ingredient and additive used in Cadbury products is approved by FSANZ and safe to consume.
Emulsifiers, for example, are used in very small amounts to keep your chocolate smooth and stop ingredients from separating.
Flavours help deliver that consistent Cadbury taste you know and love. These are widely used in chocolate making around the world.
